Role Description The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction activities at project sites in Chennai and ensure work is completed according to design, quality, and safety standards. This full-time, on-site role includes supervising site operations, coordinating with civil engineers, contractors, and workers, monitoring material usage, and maintaining site documentation. The Site Engineer will conduct regular quality checks, verify structural work against drawings and specifications, and assist in resolving technical issues on site. The role also involves updating project progress reports, supporting adherence to timelines, and communicating effectively with project managers and stakeholders.
Experience:* 0–1 Year (Freshers Eligible)
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assist in supervising daily construction activities at the site.
* Monitor construction work according to approved drawings and specifications.
* Check materials and ensure proper utilization of construction materials.
* Assist in quantity estimation and material calculations.
* Read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
* Monitor concrete work, brickwork, plastering, and other civil works.
* Maintain daily site reports and work progress records.
* Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and site workers.
* Ensure compliance with site safety rules and quality standards.
* Report daily progress and site issues to the senior engineer.
Qualification:
* Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
* Freshers can apply.
* Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel is an advantage.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to work at construction sites.
