Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dehradun for a Computer Hardware & Networking professional. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment across the institute’s campuses. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and repairing hardware issues, performing routine system checks, and ensuring stable LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity for staff and students. The professional will provide technical support to users, respond to service requests, and troubleshoot system and network problems to minimize downtime. Additional responsibilities include maintaining inventory of IT equipment, documenting issues and resolutions, coordinating with vendors when required, and adhering to institutional IT policies and security standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer Hardware and Hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Candidates should possess hands-on skills in Computer Repair, including component-level diagnosis and replacement.
Candidates should possess solid Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for systems, peripherals, and basic network issues.
Relevant knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, cabling) and basic network security practices.
Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA) are an advantage.
Ability to document technical procedures, manage tickets, and communicate clearly with non-technical users.
Capacity to work on-site, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond promptly to hardware and network incidents.
Previous experience in an educational or multi-user institutional environment is beneficial.
