Role Description This full-time remote Technical Engineer role focuses on supporting and optimizing Uniview’s AIoT, video security, and related product solutions for global customers and partners. The Technical Engineer will provide advanced technical support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, analyzing system logs, and resolving configuration and integration problems. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with solution design and deployment, preparing and updating technical documentation, and collaborating with product and R&D teams to report defects and recommend improvements. The role also involves delivering technical training to customers or internal stakeholders, participating in proof-of-concept tests, and ensuring system performance, reliability, and security standards are met. The Technical Engineer will engage with cross-functional teams in a structured, process-driven environment to help customers successfully implement Uniview solutions at scale.
Qualifications
Strong technical foundation in networking and systems, including TCP/IP, routing and switching basics, VPNs, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
Experience with video security or AIoT solutions, such as IP cameras, NVR/DVR systems, video management software, cloud-based platforms, and related protocols (ONVIF, RTSP, HTTP/HTTPS).
Hands-on skills in system integration and configuration, including device provisioning, firmware upgrades, diagnostics, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, using logs, monitoring tools, and systematic testing to resolve complex technical issues.
Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, guides, and knowledge-base articles for internal and external audiences.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience collaborating with engineering, product management, and support teams in a remote, distributed work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science
