Production Manager

Company Description Vraj Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd., based in Ahmedabad, specializes in manufacturing CNC turning machines and serving as authorized dealers of CNC products. The company is actively involved in panel building for CNC machines, as well as CNC machine retrofitting and maintenance. With a capacity to retrofit four CNC machines per month and over 100 successful retrofits completed since 2003 through its associated firm V.M. Services, the organization has established strong technical expertise. Retrofitting projects typically include Siemens system selection, panel and wiring execution, installation and parameter setting, PLC programming, and safety-oriented alarm and message configuration. The company serves a diverse client base that includes L&T, ISRO, Harsha Engineering, Bosch Rexroth, and Siemens.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager role located in Ahmedabad. The Production Manager will oversee daily production operations for CNC machine manufacturing, panel building, and retrofitting activities, ensuring output meets quality, safety, and delivery standards. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, allocating resources, monitoring workflow, and coordinating with design, procurement, and service teams to maintain smooth operations. The role involves supervising shop floor staff, implementing process improvements, maintaining production documentation, and ensuring adherence to technical specifications and regulatory requirements. The Production Manager will also work closely with management on capacity planning, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.
Qualifications
Strong production management and operations planning skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
Experience with CNC machines, machine tool manufacturing, and retrofitting processes, ideally with exposure to Siemens CNC systems.
Knowledge of electrical panels, control panels, machine wiring, and basic PLC concepts relevant to CNC applications.
Proficiency in quality control, safety standards, and process improvement methodologies within a manufacturing environment.
Effective leadership and people management capabilities, including team supervision, training, and performance monitoring.
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant production management experience in CNC or machine tools is highly preferred.
