About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
The Tax Director will establish, lead, and grow 8 Figure Finance's tax practice. 8FF is an outsourced accounting firm serving 80+ clients across bookkeeping, accrual accounting, AR/AP management, and CFO advisory services.
The mandate of this role is to build a tax practice within 8FF. The firm's existing client base is the practice's starting book, and the practice is expected to grow beyond it through new tax engagements and tax-only clients. The Tax Director serves as the firm's senior tax advisor, delivering integrated tax planning and compliance alongside 8FF's accounting engagements, and leads the practice with a focus on technical excellence, operational discipline, and long-term client relationships.
This position begins as an individual contributor role. The Tax Director will personally own delivery as the practice launches, then hire, build, and lead a tax team as client demand and capacity require. Growth of the practice is directly tied to growth of the team, and the Tax Director will define that plan and execute it.
Why This Role
Build a practice, don't inherit one. You define the service offering, pricing, technology stack, and team from day one.
A starting book on day one. 80+ existing accounting clients provide an immediate foundation, and tax work starts from books 8FF already maintains.
A seat at the leadership table. You join the 8FF leadership team and partner directly with firm leadership on strategy and growth.
A systems-driven firm. Documented processes and a modern stack, so you spend your time on clients and the practice, not on reinventing operations.
