About the Role
Capstone Building Services LLP is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in MEP design consultancy. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical system design, preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and coordination with other disciplines to deliver efficient and compliant building services designs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts and schematics for building projects.
Carry out electrical load calculations, power distribution planning and cable sizing.
Design and coordinate lighting, power distribution, earthing and lightning protection systems.
Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, cable schedules and other design documentation.
Develop lighting layouts and perform illumination calculations as required.
Coordinate electrical designs with HVAC, PHE, Fire, Architecture and Civil teams to resolve design clashes and interface issues.
Review drawings and incorporate comments from clients, consultants and project teams.
Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards, codes and project specifications.
Assist with site visits, technical clarifications and coordination with site teams whenever required.
Requirements
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, preferably in an MEP consultancy.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
Working knowledge of electrical design calculations, power distribution systems and relevant standards.
Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.
Preferred
Candidates currently residing in Tamil Nadu.
Experience in commercial buildings, offices, hospitals, hotels, residential projects or other building services projects.
Familiarity with applicable Indian electrical standards and building codes.
