Project Manager

Position Overview
PulseLearning is seeking a proactive, organised, and hands-on Project Manager to support one of our clients based in Limerick, Ireland.
This opportunity is ideal for a Project Manager who enjoys bringing structure to projects, improving processes, collaborating with diverse teams, and taking ownership of project delivery.
The successful candidate will play an important role in managing projects from initiation through completion while helping to develop and implement consistent project management frameworks, processes, and reporting practices across the organisation.
We are looking for someone with strong practical project management experience, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
Manage the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, scope, and quality requirements are achieved.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.
Track project progress, identify potential delays, and proactively implement corrective actions.
Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts, and resource requirements.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Coordinate project meetings, maintain action logs, and ensure timely follow-up on deliverables.
Provide clear, accurate, and timely project status updates to stakeholders and management.
Project Management Frameworks & Process Improvement
Support the development, implementation, and improvement of project management frameworks, methodologies, and governance processes.
Establish and maintain standardised project templates, documentation, reporting tools, and workflows.
Review existing project management practices and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability.
Help implement practical project management processes that support effective planning, tracking, and delivery.
Work collaboratively with teams to encourage adoption of improved processes and ways of working.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across project management activities.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams, project sponsors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
Communicate project updates, risks, challenges, and priorities clearly and professionally.
Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams.
Build positive working relationships and support effective collaboration across departments.
Escalate project concerns appropriately and recommend practical solutions.
Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and a solutions-focused approach when addressing project challenges.
Resource Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate project resources and monitor workload, capacity, and project priorities.
Support resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.
Maintain accurate project records, dashboards, reports, and documentation.
Provide visibility into project timelines, budgets, risks, and overall performance.
Support management with project prioritisation and reporting as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience working in a dedicated Project Manager role, with direct responsibility for managing projects from initiation to completion.
Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
Practical experience developing, implementing, or improving project management frameworks, methodologies, processes, or governance structures.
Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Strong project reporting, documentation, and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at different levels.
Strong problem-solving skills, practical judgment, and the ability to take initiative.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
Experience using project management software and reporting tools.
Industry Experience
We welcome candidates with project management experience across a variety of industries.
Experience working across multiple industries or project environments is highly desirable.
Candidates with dedicated project management experience in Learning & Development (L&D), eLearning, digital learning, or training delivery are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, deliverables, timelines, and budgets is essential.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, or equivalent.
Experience using Teamwork.com or similar project management platforms.
Experience supporting organisational change, process improvements, or the introduction of new project management practices.
Exposure to portfolio reporting, resource planning, or capacity management.
Experience in research, innovation, publicly funded programmes, or marketing-related projects would be an advantage.
