That's what we're building at AVAI.
We're an early-stage EdTech startup building an intelligence layer for schools, connecting assessments, learning gaps, academic planning and student opportunities. Our product is already being tested with CBSE schools in Tamil Nadu.
We're looking for someone who wants to build, break, debug, rethink, and build again.
What will you actually do?
- Build features that teachers and school leaders will actually use.
- Work with AI, OCR, LLM APIs and document-processing pipelines.
- Turn messy academic data into meaningful insights.
- Build APIs, dashboards and end-to-end product workflows.
- Hunt down bugs, improve performance, and make things faster, smarter and cheaper.
- Work directly with the founders, from discussing a problem to shipping the solution.
Our stack: Python (FastAPI), Next.js/TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, and LLM/vision APIs.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who:
- Can code in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Understands the basics of full-stack development, APIs and databases.
- Has built something beyond college assignments, even if it's a personal project.
- Is curious about AI and how to use it to solve real problems.
- Takes care with details. You'll be working with real student data, and accuracy matters.
- Doesn't wait for perfectly written instructions to start figuring things out.
- Cares about why something is being built, not just how.
We care more about what you've built than how many certificates you've collected.
Eligibility: Recent graduates, or students available full-time for 6 months
Start date: Immediate
