Techno - Commercial Business Manager - West

Role Description<

We are looking for a high-ownership Techno-Commercial professional to drive business development and project execution across the West region.
The role will be responsible for managing the complete customer project lifecycle — from understanding the brief and technical solutioning to trials, commercialisation, order conversion and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive techno-commercial business development across QSR, CPG and other food industry accounts.
* Understand customer requirements and translate them into actionable technical briefs.
* Work closely with NPD, QA, Supply Chain and application teams to drive timely project execution.
* Possess strong knowledge of food ingredients, formulations, flavours, sauces, seasonings, powders and applications.
* Lead customer trials, product evaluations and technical discussions.
* Prepare costing, commercial proposals and participate in commercial negotiations.
* Own projects from Brief → Development → Trial → Approval → Commercialisation → PO → First Order → Repeat Business.
* Ensure approved projects are converted into actual business and revenue.
* Track project pipeline, timelines, actions and commercial potential.
* Drive customer follow-ups, order closure and repeat business.
* Identify new business opportunities, applications and product development opportunities.
* Act as the key link between the customer and internal technical/commercial teams.
* Take complete accountability for project execution, order conversion and revenue delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in food ingredients, food applications, QSR, CPG, sauces, seasonings, flavours or related food categories.
* Strong technical understanding with commercial orientation.
* Good understanding of ingredients, formulation and food applications.
* Strong customer-facing and negotiation skills.
* Ability to independently manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
* Strong ownership mindset — someone who takes a project to closure rather than simply coordinating activities.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and execution skills.
Success in this role will be measured not only by the number of briefs handled, but by the ability to convert opportunities into approvals, orders and sustainable revenue.
