Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer. The MEP Engineer will design, review, and coordinate building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing layouts, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications. Daily tasks include preparing drawings and calculations, performing load assessments, selecting equipment, and collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to resolve design and coordination issues. The role involves attending site meetings, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and addressing technical queries from contractors and clients. The MEP Engineer will also contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient solutions, support documentation for regulatory approvals, and maintain accurate project records and reports.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and analysis.
Candidates should possess skills in Plumbing system design, layout, and sizing for building services.
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering for building power distribution, lighting, and safety systems.
Candidates should possess skills in MEP Coordination to integrate HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems with architectural and structural design.
Candidates should possess skills in Building Services engineering, including familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience in designing MEP systems for commercial, residential, or institutional projects; experience with sustainable and energy-efficient design is an advantage.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM tools) and basic calculation tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
