Data Insights Analys (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description The Data Insights Analyst (Remote, Entry-Level) is a part-time role focused on supporting data-driven decision-making across the university. On a day-to-day basis, the analyst gathers data from various academic and administrative sources, cleans and organizes datasets, and performs basic analysis to identify trends and patterns. The role involves preparing dashboards, charts, and summary reports that present insights in a clear, accessible format for non-technical stakeholders. The analyst collaborates with faculty and staff to define data needs, validates data quality, and communicates findings that help improve programs, services, and institutional outcomes. This is a remote position, requiring effective online collaboration and time management.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Foundational experience or coursework in data analytics, including basic data processing and visualization tools.
Knowledge of statistics and statistical concepts for entry-level data analysis and reporting.
Understanding of data modeling principles and comfort working with structured data sets.
Clear written and verbal communication skills to present complex information in an accessible way.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools is an advantage).
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours, and collaborate virtually with diverse teams.
Relevant academic background in statistics, data science, mathematics, information systems, or a related field (current students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
