Role Description The VP of Technology Strategy is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and driving the organization’s long-term technology vision and roadmap. This role oversees strategic planning for IT initiatives, aligning technology investments with business goals and measurable outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cross-functional discussions on technology priorities, evaluating emerging technologies, and guiding modernization and transformation programs. The VP will collaborate with executive leadership to develop IT strategy, establish governance frameworks, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with clear value. Additional tasks include overseeing technology risk management, optimizing the IT portfolio, mentoring senior technology leaders, and using data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, assess trade-offs, and make evidence-based decisions.
Deep knowledge of Information Technology, including modern architectures, cloud solutions, security principles, and enterprise systems.
Proven experience in IT Strategy, with a track record of designing and implementing technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
Advanced Project Management capabilities, including leading large, multi-stakeholder initiatives and managing budgets, timelines, and risks.
Expertise in Strategic Planning, including portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and long-term technology investment planning.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including guiding senior teams, fostering collaboration, and driving change in complex environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership and technical teams effectively.
Experience in remote leadership and managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is beneficial.
Background in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, or technology consulting is a plus.
