Job Description:
MSI Express is a leading manufacturing and contract packaging partner trusted by top CPG brands, as well as emerging and private label brands.
Internship Details:
· Duration: 10 weeks (Summer 2027)
· Schedule: Monday – Friday; Approximately 8 hours per day/40 hours per week
· Pay: $19.00/hour
· Benefits: This role is not eligible for benefits

About the Role:
As a Production Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
Manufacturing Operations Support: Assist production teams in monitoring daily manufacturing activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met.
Continuous Improvement Projects: Support initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiencies, and optimizing production processes.
Performance Monitoring: Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and process bottlenecks.
Standard Work Development: Assist in creating and updating work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational goals.
What we look for in a Production Intern:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Interest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Currently enrolled in an Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related academic program.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Work is performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments.
Frequent exposure to production areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving machinery, forklifts, and other industrial conditions.
Must follow all safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout manufacturing facilities.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated platforms as necessary.
Must be able to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and work around equipment during project activities.
Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Periodic travel may be required to other MSI Express locations and end-of-internship events.
