Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Business Development Executives based in Agartala. The role involves identifying and approaching prospective clients, presenting Ortus Finance’s investment and asset allocation offerings, and building long-term relationships to drive business growth. Responsibilities include conducting client meetings, understanding financial needs and risk profiles, coordinating with internal teams to propose suitable solutions, and following up to close opportunities. Business Development Executives will also track market trends, maintain accurate records of leads and conversions, prepare basic reports on sales performance, and ensure all client interactions and documentation comply with regulatory requirements. The role requires proactive networking, regular field visits, and professional representation of the company in local markets and events.
Qualifications
Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship management.
Basic understanding of financial products such as equities, mutual funds, and other regulated securities, with an interest in investment and wealth management.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to diverse clients.
Good negotiation, presentation, and persuasion abilities to convert prospects into long-term clients.
Proficiency in maintaining client data, preparing simple reports, and using productivity or CRM tools.
Ability to work in an on-site, field-oriented environment in Agartala with a proactive and goal-driven mindset.
Minimum educational qualification: graduate degree in any discipline; a background in finance, commerce, business, or related fields is an advantage.
Prior experience in financial services, banking, or sales is preferred but motivated entry-level candidates will also be considered.
