Sentio Group is a specialist contract recruitment firm headquartered in Austin, Texas, placing contractors across the United States, Canada and Latin America. We launched in July 2026 and already work with banks, insurers, energy operators and consumer brands that need technology and data talent, alongside clients in Executive Search, Life Sciences, Energy, DCX and Robotics. We are now looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join us at our Austin HQ and learn the business from the ground up.
About the role
This is an entry-level role for someone who wants a career in sales and is prepared to put the work in to build one. You will start by learning how to find, approach and qualify contractors for live client roles, which means sourcing through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals and our internal platform, then getting on the phone to understand each person’s skills, rates, availability and motivation. From there you will write up and submit candidates, arrange and prepare them for interviews, and manage the offer through to their first day on site.
As you start to deliver results, the role widens. You will begin mapping target companies and hiring managers in your market, making business development calls and building client relationships of your own, with the aim of running full 360 deals where you win the client, fill the role and look after the contractor for the length of the assignment.
Training and progression
You will be trained in person, every day, by our CEO & Founder, who has more than 11 years in agency recruitment and was a two-time consecutive global top biller before starting Sentio, billing over $3M with US clients in two years. You will sit next to him and learn the job directly on live roles, not from a training video.
Progression here is based on results and not on time served. Once you complete 10 deals within any six-month period from your first deal, each worth at least $25,000 and with at least two of them being full 360 deals, you become eligible for consideration for a 360 Recruitment Consultant role. We are a young firm with plans to grow the Austin team, so the people who join now and perform will be first in line to lead desks and teams as we expand.
Who we are looking for
You do not need recruitment experience and you do not need a degree. What you do need is a competitive streak, a real motivation to earn more through your own results, and the resilience to hear “no” and pick the phone straight back up. You should be comfortable making a high volume of calls, able to take direct feedback and apply it the same day, and a clear and confident communicator both in person and in writing. A background in sales, hospitality, competitive sport, the military or any other target-driven environment tends to translate well, although it is not a requirement.
This role is based in our North Austin office five days a week, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm, in business attire.
You will need to be authorized to work in the United States and able to commute to the office daily.
