MirrorMire is an AI-native cybersecurity company building proactive cyber resilience. Our platform, AMaze™, uses AI-driven deception to detect attackers early, steer them into controlled environments, and learn from their behavior, so attacks are stopped before they reach critical systems and data.
We are a small team that moves fast. Engineers here work directly with the founder and the core team, and own meaningful parts of the product from design to production.
The Role
You will build the services and interfaces that sit at the heart of AMaze: pipelines that ingest high volumes of security telemetry and behavioral data, APIs that serve it, and analyst-facing screens that make adversary activity easy to understand.
What You'll Do
• Build core services. Design, build and own backend services and APIs that process large volumes of security telemetry reliably and on a scale.
• Ship the product UI. Develop React/Next.js interfaces that help analysts investigate deception events and adversary behavior.
• Own data flow. Design event-driven and streaming pipelines, and the data models behind them, that stay performant as data grows.
• Work with AI and research. Turn ideas from our AI and Security Research teams into production features.
• Build securely. Apply secure-by-default engineering. A security platform must be hardened.
• Shape how we build. Take part in design discussions and code reviews, and help reviews engineering standards as the team grows.
What You'll Bring
• 3–5 years building and shipping production full stack systems.
• Strong in one or more Python, Java or Rust on the backend, and in React or Next.js on the frontend.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices, with a good grasp of distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Solid database skills: PostgreSQL or similar relational stores, plus Redis or a document store.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), Git, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Sound judgement on architecture, design patterns and secure coding.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Self-driven, motivated go-getter and a fast learner who takes initiative and owns outcomes.
• Comfortable working in a nimble, highly agile environment and multitasking across priorities.
Nice to Have
• Experience with messaging or streaming systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Familiarity with security telemetry (SIEM/EDR), MITRE ATT&CK, or network-level protocols.
• Exposure to building features on top of ML or LLM-based components.
• Prior work at an early-stage startup.
