Pharmacy Returns Technician

Under the supervision of a pharmacist, and in accordance with State and Federal Laws, processes return medications from the facilities we service for credit and/or destruction and assists with other daily tasks as directed.
Effectively operates the Pharmacy computer system to ensure timely and accurate returns documentation and processing.
Under the supervision of a pharmacist, coordinate pickup of medications for destruction from third party vendors and/or other regulatory means
Accurately maintains inventory, returns appropriately credited products back into the pharmacy inventory, and assists with semi-annual pharmacy physical inventory.
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Prior experience as a pharmacy technician/data entry technician with good working knowledge of reviewing and entering prescription orders preferred.
Proficient computer skills necessary for data entry, reporting, including documentation and billing. An ideal candidate would have experience with PrimeCare/QS1 Pharmacy operations system and have some exposure to Pharmacy Automation (i.e. TCGRx, Pyxis, etc.)
Experience handling and documenting returned medical products from serviced facility back to the pharmacy
Must possess a valid Maryland Board of Pharmacy technician license and/or national pharmacy technician certification
Preferrable to possess a valid Maryland driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
