Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated AI & ML Engineer Intern to join our Enterprise AI & Data team within IT. In this role, you will contribute to the development of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Enterprise AI solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers and architects, you will help build intelligent applications, agentic workflows, knowledge systems, and AI-powered experiences that drive business value at scale. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), Software Engineering, and emerging AI technologies. Responsibilities 1. AI Application Development & GenAI Integration
Develop AI-powered applications and services using modern GenAI frameworks.
Build prompt workflows, tool integrations, and conversational experiences using LLMs.
Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications through APIs and microservices.
Assist in creating reusable prompt templates, workflows, and AI best practices.
Develop and test AI features using Python and modern AI development libraries. 2. Agentic AI & Workflow Automation
Participate in designing agent-based systems for task automation and multi-step reasoning.
Build AI agents capable of interacting with tools, APIs, and enterprise data sources.
Support implementation of agent orchestration, workflow automation, and tool-calling patterns.
Help evaluate agent performance, reliability, and safety. 3. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) & Knowledge Systems
Assist in developing RAG pipelines for enterprise knowledge discovery.
Build document ingestion, chunking, embedding, and retrieval workflows.
Support creation and maintenance of vector databases and knowledge repositories.
Implement semantic search capabilities across structured and unstructured data. 4. Model Evaluation & AI Quality Engineering
Conduct benchmarking and evaluation of GenAI solutions.
Develop automated tests for prompts, AI workflows, and agent behavior.
Measure response quality, latency, accuracy, and hallucination rates.
Support continuous improvement through testing and feedback mechanisms. 5. Cloud & AI Platform Fundamentals
Learn and contribute to cloud-native AI deployments.
Assist in building CI/CD pipelines for AI applications.
Monitor AI application performance and usage metrics.
Support deployment and testing of AI workloads in cloud environments. 6. Emerging AI Technologies
Explore evolving AI technologies and industry best practices.
Prototype solutions using open-source and commercial AI models.
Contribute to adoption of modern AI standards and protocols.
Stay current with advancements in AI agents, multimodal AI, and foundation models. Qualifications Educational Background
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning or related technical disciplines Preferred Academic Experience:
Candidates should demonstrate exposure through coursework, internships, research, hackathons, or open-source contributions involving: Generative AI, Large Language Models, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Cloud Computing Technical Skills:
Programming: Python (required), JavaScript/Typescript (Preferred)
Gen AI Development: GenAI concepts, Prompt engineering, RAG architectures, LLM APIs, SDKs, Agentic AI & MCP fundamentals
App Development: React, FastAPI/Flask or Node.js, REST APIs and microservices concepts
Data: SQL, Vector databases
Cloud & DevOps: Docker fundamentals, CI/CD concepts, familiarity with either Azure, AWS, or GCP fundamentals, Git/GitHub fundamentals Desired Attributes
Strong problem-solving mindset.
Curiosity and passion for emerging AI technologies.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-changing technology landscape.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions.
