Digital Commerce Specialist

Position Purpose:
The Digital Commerce Specialist is responsible for supporting and advancing the company's digital platforms, with a focus on e-commerce adoption, data quality, and operational efficiency. This role will collaborate across departments to manage online customer experiences, streamline dispatch and delivery processes, and ensure accuracy in reporting and data integrity. The Specialist will act as both a business partner and a technical resource, driving continuous improvement in digital commerce tools that enhance customer engagement and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce & Customer Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison for e-commerce initiatives, supporting internal teams and external customers.
Lead adoption of the customer portal, training and mentoring staff at multiple branches.
Manage rollout and maintenance plans for e-commerce functionality in collaboration with branch leadership and corporate teams.
Provide first-level support to internal users and external customers on e-commerce platforms.
Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to support digital adoption.
Data Quality & Systems Management
Support dispatch, routing, GPS, proof of delivery, and fleet maintenance applications to improve delivery and logistics processes.
Work with Business Analysts, SQL Developers, ETL teams, and Data Warehouse Engineers to validate data outputs and ensure reporting accuracy.
Develop test strategies, test cases, and documentation to ensure high-quality data and application performance.
Perform data cleansing, enrichment, and standardization to ensure consistency and integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with executives, branch managers, and functional leaders to tailor e-commerce and digital commerce plans to local business needs.
Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Product Management, and IT to ensure successful rollout and integration of digital solutions.
Generate dashboards, productivity reports, and analytics for leadership decision-making.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel periodically to branch locations for training and support.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong familiarity with web applications, account management, and process change management.
Knowledge of data integration, cleansing, and standardization.
Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting website metrics, system reports, and business data.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with dispatch, routing, GPS, or fleet systems preferred.
Prior exposure to building materials or construction industry is strongly preferred.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, IT, or related field).
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
5+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital systems, or related technical roles.

Risk Management Acumen: Demonstrate the ability to proactively identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends, exhibiting a commitment to continuous learning and the ability to recommend and implement innovative process enhancements for ongoing improvement.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $61,200.00 to $79,500.00 annually. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, profit-sharing programs, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
