About the Opportunity
IntelliStaff is recruiting an experienced Oracle Contract Negotiation Consultant for an urgent, fully remote consulting engagement supporting a major public-sector technology transformation.
This engagement involves negotiating multiple enterprise technology agreements covering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Professional Services, cloud infrastructure, and system migration services.
We are seeking a senior consultant with extensive experience negotiating directly with Oracle who can review complex agreements, identify contractual risks, and ensure technical requirements are translated into clear, enforceable commercial commitments.
This is a commercial negotiation and contract advisory role, not a hands-on Oracle implementation or technical migration position.
Key Responsibilities
Review and negotiate enterprise Oracle agreements, including OCI and Oracle Professional Services contracts.
Assess statements of work (SOWs), service-level agreements (SLAs), deliverables, and contractual obligations.
Identify gaps, ambiguities, risks, and potentially unfavourable contract terms.
Work with technical architects to translate infrastructure and migration requirements into enforceable contractual commitments.
Negotiate clear vendor responsibilities, project milestones, acceptance criteria, and documentation requirements.
Evaluate provisions concerning implementation delays, change requests, additional costs, and vendor accountability.
Challenge unclear commitments and negotiate appropriate commercial protections.
Provide strategic advice on Oracle's commercial practices, negotiation approaches, and contractual structures.
Support negotiations involving multiple interrelated technology agreements.
Help ensure agreements adequately protect operational, financial, and technical interests.
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience negotiating enterprise technology contracts directly with Oracle.
Demonstrated experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and/or Oracle Professional Services agreements.
Strong understanding of enterprise cloud contracts, technology procurement, IT outsourcing, and vendor management.
Experience reviewing and negotiating complex statements of work, service-level agreements, and professional services contracts.
Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud migration, and large-scale technology transformation projects.
Ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders and translate complex requirements into contractual obligations.
Exceptional commercial negotiation, contract analysis, and risk management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with any of the following backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply:
Former Oracle commercial executives, enterprise account managers, or contract specialists.
Senior IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management consultants.
Enterprise software licensing and cloud contract negotiation specialists.
Technology consultants with experience negotiating major Oracle agreements.
Professionals involved in large-scale technology migrations, mergers, acquisitions, or enterprise system transitions.
Consultants with public-sector or government technology procurement experience.
Direct experience negotiating with Oracle is essential. Previous government experience is an asset but is not required.
