Summary
The Side Boom Operator is involved in the operation of a side boom to move and set pipe. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.
Anticipated Start Date: October 22, 2026
Location: CNRL Horizon Sustaining
Shift: 14/7
Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary
Accommodation: Camp available
Hourly Rate: $50.05
Job Duties
Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
Operate side boom (and various other equipment as required) in a safe and effective manner
Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt
Load/unload materials
Complete pre-job equipment inspections
Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be in possession of a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized
Must have 5+ years' experience operating equipment on an industrial work site
Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset
CSO required
Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
Able to work well in a team environment
Organized and self-motivated
Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
