About Us
Wake Senior Care LLC is an independently owned and operated franchise of Home Instead, an Honor company. Behind our compassionate, dependable care for aging adults is a dedicated administrative team. We are looking for a detail-oriented A/R & Billing Specialist to independently own our financial processes from start to finish and directly support the operational success of our organization.
Position Overview
As our A/R & Billing Specialist, you will manage essential billing, receivables, payroll support, and payables. You will ensure our business runs smoothly behind the scenes, enabling our team to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
Billing: Ensure timely creation and distribution of invoices for each billing cycle, process payments, and submit LTC claims.
Accounts Receivable: Handle data entry for customer invoices and payments, manage service deposits (reconciliation and returns), and own A/R aging and collections (monitoring overdue balances, following up on 60/90+ day accounts, coordinating on disputed claims, and escalating write-off decisions).
Payroll Support: Process the entry of payroll information in coordination with third-party payroll providers, supporting caregiver and staff payroll (including mileage reimbursements and payroll deductions).
Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, manage AP aging, and ensure timely payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Compliance & Communication: Maintain all documentation in compliance with state, federal, and franchise standards while demonstrating open communication with the franchise owner, colleagues, care professionals, clients, and family members.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of related experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or bookkeeping is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Experience with accounting and billing software—particularly home care or healthcare billing systems like WellSky or Cinch and LTC claims—is a strong advantage.
Core Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and financial record-keeping.
Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client, employee, and financial information.
Excellent organizational skills to prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly workflows.
Ability to work independently and consistently meet billing and payroll deadlines each cycle.
Remote Workspace: Ability to maintain a private, secure workspace equipped with reliable high-speed internet to execute remote job functions.
What We Value
We look for individuals who reflect our core values, demonstrate a high level of commitment to delivering results, practice integrity and confidentiality, excel in relationship management, and utilize strong planning and organizing skills to meet competing deadlines.
Wake Senior Care, LLC is an equal opportunity employer. Each Home Instead franchise office is independently owned and operated.

Help us redefine what it means to age at home. If you are a detail-oriented finance professional who loves owning processes from start to finish and making an impact behind the scenes, we would love to hear from you.
