Freelance Brand and Visual Designer (Sports and Entertainment)

Our sports and entertainment client is seeking a Freelance Brand and Visual Designer for a contract opportunity. This role will support the creative and marketing team in bringing brand stories to life through thoughtful, visually distinctive digital design. This is a temporary role. The ideal candidate is a digital-first designer who combines strong conceptual thinking with exceptional execution. With an eye for detail and a deep understanding of contemporary design, this individual will create compelling visual experiences that connect with audiences, strengthen brand identity and support a range of marketing initiatives across digital channels.
Pay Rate: $45.00/hour
Responsibilities:
Design engaging digital creative for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, digital advertising and other online platforms
Develop brand-forward visual assets that communicate creative concepts clearly and consistently across multiple touchpoints
Apply and extend established brand identities through typography, color, layout, imagery and cohesive visual systems
Partner with creative and marketing teams to transform briefs, campaign objectives and strategic direction into impactful design solutions
Explore creative concepts and visual directions that balance brand consistency with fresh, relevant ideas
Produce and adapt design assets for various formats, placements and audience segments
Manage projects from concept through final delivery, incorporating feedback and maintaining a high standard of quality
Balance multiple assignments and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of professional experience in brand design, visual design or digital creative
A compelling portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft, brand development, digital campaigns and creative versatility
Proficiency in Figma
Strong foundational design skills, including typography, composition, color theory, layout and visual hierarchy
Ability to interpret creative direction and translate it into polished, audience-focused design
A strong understanding of digital platforms, contemporary visual trends and brand consistency across channels
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas and incorporate feedback
A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
Experience in entertainment, media, streaming or lifestyle brands is a plus
