Vendor Relations Specialist

Role Description This full-time remote Vendor Relations Specialist role is responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with external vendors to support business operations. On a day-to-day basis, the specialist will coordinate vendor onboarding, maintain vendor records, and ensure adherence to contract terms, service-level agreements, and company policies. The role includes monitoring vendor performance, analyzing service quality and cost, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes. The Vendor Relations Specialist will handle inquiries, negotiate routine updates, support invoice and payment review, and prepare reports and recommendations for leadership. This position requires consistent communication with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of services and alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to review contracts, assess vendor performance, analyze costs, and support budget and invoice reconciliation.
Excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build productive vendor relationships, facilitate meetings, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Customer Service mindset to respond promptly to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries, manage escalations, and ensure a positive, solution-focused experience.
Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate vendor records, track deadlines, and manage multiple vendor accounts simultaneously.
Experience in vendor management, procurement, supply chain, or related operations environment is preferred.
Proficiency with office productivity tools and vendor management or ERP systems is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and uphold compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
