Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer role based in Bengaluru. The Junior Interior Designer will assist in developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, and supporting space planning for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating drawings, coordinating with senior designers and project managers, and helping with FF&E selections such as furniture, fixtures, and finishes. The role involves site visits, gathering measurements, preparing basic construction drawings, and ensuring design intent is accurately translated on-site. The Junior Interior Designer will also support documentation, vendor coordination, and presentation materials for client meetings.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and FF&E, including furniture, fixture, and finish selection aligned with project concepts.
Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning to optimize layouts for functionality, circulation, and user experience.
Candidates should possess skills related to Architecture and basic understanding of building systems and materials.
Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reading Construction Drawings, including plans, elevations, and details.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) is beneficial.
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and the ability to follow design direction are important.
Effective communication, teamwork, and time-management skills are required for working on multiple projects.
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and participate in on-site coordination and vendor interactions is expected.
