Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Broker role based in the Mohali district. The Broker will manage daily freight operations, including sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, and securing capacity for customer shipments. This role involves tracking loads, providing timely status updates, and resolving any transit issues to ensure smooth delivery. The Broker will build and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers, prepare and review documentation, and coordinate closely with internal logistics and dispatch teams. The position also includes analyzing market trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and upholding company standards for service quality and compliance.
Qualifications
Strong logistics and supply chain knowledge, including freight brokerage, load planning, and carrier management.
Proficiency in negotiation, rate quoting, and relationship-building with shippers and carriers.
Ability to manage multiple shipments, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation and records.
Competence with transportation management systems (TMS), spreadsheets, and general office software.
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for client and carrier interactions.
Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on timely issue resolution.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Prior experience in freight brokerage, dispatch, or logistics coordination is preferred.
Relevant diploma or degree in logistics, business, or a related field is beneficial.
Willingness to work standard business hours with flexibility based on operational needs.
