We're hiring: Marketing Manager – DeFi (Nigeria)

InbitX is a decentralized finance (DeFi) bank offering on-chain savings, lending, payments and yield products. We are looking for an experienced marketer to own growth across community, content, partnerships and customer acquisition.
About the Role
As Marketing Manager - DeFi, you will turn complex financial products into clear stories that bring in new customers, deposits and long-term users. Your training experience will be key to educating users, partners and our community about DeFi banking. You will own the marketing plan end to end and work closely with our product, business development and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and run the go-to-market plan for our DeFi banking products, including savings, lending, payments, yield and new launches
- Design and deliver training sessions, webinars and workshops that educate users and partners about our products
- Grow and engage our communities on X (Twitter), Telegram and Discord through AMAs, Spaces and ambassador programs
- Own the content calendar: threads, blogs, explainers, documentation, newsletters and video
- Drive co-marketing with DeFi protocols, wallets, fintech partners and industry influencers
- Plan product launches, referral campaigns, quest campaigns and user incentive programs
- Manage Web3 and fintech ad channels, influencer budgets and referral programs with clear ROI
- Track marketing funnels using on-chain analytics, Dune, DefiLlama and GA4, and report on deposits, active users and CAC
- Coordinate PR, events and conferences while keeping messaging consistent and compliant
- Lead freelancers, agencies and community moderators
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
1. Training experience: conducting trainings, workshops or educational sessions (required - please describe it in your application)
2. Fluent English, written and spoken
Other Requirements
- 4+ years of marketing experience, including at least 2 years in DeFi, Web3 or fintech
- Active DeFi user with a solid understanding of lending protocols, wallets, liquidity pools, APY and TVL
- Proven track record of growing a DeFi community or financial product, with measurable results
- Experience running campaigns with influencers, quest platforms and partners
- Data-driven, comfortable with dashboards, GA4 and campaign attribution
- Understanding of responsible and compliant financial marketing
- Based in Nigeria, with a reliable home setup and some overlap with global time zones
Nice to Have
- Fluency in a Nigerian language such as Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo
- Experience launching a financial or DeFi product
- A network of influencers, investors and founders in Nigeria's fintech and Web3 scene and globally
- Basic design or video skills (Figma, Canva, CapCut)
- Familiarity with multiple blockchain ecosystems such as Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana
