Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Microbiologist role based in Noida at SCK Testing Labs - A Unit of SCK Certifications Pvt. Ltd. The Microbiologist will perform routine and specialized microbiological testing of environmental samples as well as food samples such as water, air, and soil, following standard methods and laboratory protocols. Responsibilities include preparing media and reagents, handling sample receipt and processing, conducting microbial culture, identification, and enumeration, and ensuring proper documentation of results in laboratory information systems. The role involves maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to quality control and NABL accreditation requirements, and participating in method validation and proficiency testing. The Microbiologist will collaborate with the laboratory team to interpret data, prepare technical reports, and support clients with clear, accurate microbiological insights.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of microbiology principles, food microbiology, environmental microbiology, and laboratory safety practices.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a 17025 accredited lab with
Strong knowledge of NABL requirements.
Hands-on experience with microbial culture techniques, enumeration, identification methods, and sample preparation.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures, quality control protocols, and NABL or similar accreditation guidelines.
Proficiency in operating routine laboratory instruments (incubators, autoclaves, microscopes, colony counters) and basic troubleshooting.
Careful documentation skills with attention to detail in recording observations, maintaining logs, and preparing test reports.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and explaining results to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology or a closely related life science discipline from a recognized institution.
Ability to work on-site in Noida, manage multiple samples and tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining data integrity.
