Role Description This full-time Senior Engineer role is an on-site position based in Kolkata. The Senior Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, reviewing technical specifications, performing root-cause analysis, and providing guidance on complex engineering issues. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with vendors or clients, and preparing clear technical documentation and reports. The Senior Engineer will also contribute to process improvements, risk assessments, and adherence to relevant industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in core engineering principles and ability to apply them to system design, analysis, and optimization.
Experience leading technical projects, including planning, prioritization, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and software (e.g., CAD, simulation tools, or domain-specific platforms).
Ability to prepare and review detailed technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
Proven track record of mentoring or guiding junior engineers and supporting their professional growth.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in complex environments.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a closely related field; advanced certifications or postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
Experience working in an on-site engineering or operations environment, preferably in or around Kolkata or similar urban industrial settings.
Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical engineering practices, with familiarity with applicable standards and regulations.
