Role Description The GCP Architect with Certification will design, implement, and optimize cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform for a variety of client projects. This full-time remote role involves translating business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and highly available GCP solutions, including networking, compute, storage, and data services. The architect will oversee solution design, guide implementation teams, perform architecture reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating reference architectures, preparing documentation, collaborating closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders, and participating in performance tuning, cost optimization, and incident resolution. The role also includes staying current with GCP services, advising on cloud strategy, and mentoring team members on cloud architecture patterns and practices.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, security) and hands-on experience designing and deploying production workloads.
Proficiency in cloud architecture and design patterns, including microservices, containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
Advanced skills in cloud security, identity and access management, networking, and compliance, with a focus on securing GCP environments and data.
Experience with system integration, APIs, data flows, and performance optimization across distributed systems in cloud environments.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders in a remote setting.
Google Cloud Architect or other relevant GCP certification required; additional cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) are a plus.
Several years of experience in cloud architecture or related roles, preferably in consulting or technology services organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
