Role Description The Production Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jambusar. The Production Manager oversees daily plant operations, including planning and scheduling production runs, monitoring output, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role coordinates with procurement, maintenance, quality control, and logistics to ensure raw material availability, equipment reliability, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring production staff, optimizing processes to reduce waste and downtime, maintaining production documentation and reports, and supporting implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Manager also contributes to budgeting, capacity planning, and incident investigation to support stable, efficient operations.
Qualifications
Experience in production management within chemical, polymer, or related manufacturing environments, including supervision of shop-floor teams.
Strong skills in production planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to meet volume and quality targets.
Knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality systems applicable to chemical and polymer manufacturing.
Ability to analyze production data, identify root causes of issues, and implement process improvements.
Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach staff, manage conflicts, and collaborate across functions.
Comfort with using production management software, basic MS Office tools, and maintaining accurate operational records.
Relevant technical degree or diploma in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Willingness to work on-site in Jambusar and be present on the production floor as needed, including during shift handovers and critical operations.
