Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all aspects of Berkeley Life’s financial strategy and operations. The CFO will lead financial planning and budgeting, manage financial reporting and analysis, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. This role includes overseeing cash flow, capital structure, and risk management, as well as supporting strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and investment evaluations. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive leadership and department heads to align financial goals with business objectives and will provide clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making. The CFO will also ensure compliance with relevant regulations, coordinate with external auditors, and implement robust internal controls and financial systems.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Financial Planning and Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Expertise in Financial Reporting to deliver timely, clear, and insightful reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably at the CFO or equivalent level.
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and internal control best practices.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with distributed teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills for engaging with executive leadership and board members.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is highly beneficial.
