Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in VMware virtualization and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud and virtualized environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and business continuity.
The candidate should have hands-on experience in VMware infrastructure, Azure services, cloud migration, infrastructure provisioning, troubleshooting, and hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain VMware virtualized infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, virtual machines, clusters, and resource allocation.
Administer Azure infrastructure, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
Support migration of on-premises VMware workloads to Microsoft Azure.
Manage hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure environments.
Perform infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and resource optimization.
Implement high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to virtualization, networking, storage, operating systems, and cloud services.
Implement security best practices, access controls, patch management, and compliance requirements.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or scripting tools.
Collaborate with architecture, application, networking, and security teams to deliver infrastructure solutions.
Prepare infrastructure documentation, technical assessments, migration plans, and operational reports.
Required Technical Skills
VMware
VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server administration.
Virtual machine provisioning, configuration, cloning, snapshots, and lifecycle management.
VMware cluster management, vMotion, HA, and DRS.
Knowledge of virtual networking, datastores, SAN/NAS storage, and resource optimization.
Experience in VMware infrastructure troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Microsoft Azure
Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, and Azure Storage.
Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and infrastructure monitoring.
Azure identity and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals.
Azure networking, including VPN Gateway, connectivity, routing, and hybrid infrastructure.
Understanding of Azure governance, security, and cost optimization.
Additional Skills
Windows Server and Linux administration.
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, and load balancing fundamentals.
Cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure management.
PowerShell scripting and automation.
Incident, problem, and change management processes.
Knowledge of ITIL practices is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Microsoft Azure certification, such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), is desirable.
VMware certification or equivalent hands
