Role Description The Interior Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing day-to-day interior work at project locations. This role involves coordinating with contractors, vendors, and design teams to ensure that interior finishes, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other site activities are executed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Interior Site Supervisor monitors project progress, manages site schedules, checks material deliveries and installations, and promptly addresses site issues or deviations. The role includes maintaining site documentation, daily reports, and basic measurements, as well as ensuring that safety practices are followed at all times. The Interior Site Supervisor also supports client visits to the site and provides clear updates on timelines, work status, and any required decisions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong site supervision and coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple contractors, monitor daily work, and verify that interiors are executed as per drawings and specifications.
Candidates should possess basic technical knowledge of interior materials and finishes, such as carpentry, modular furniture, false ceiling, electrical points, lighting, and plumbing interface.
Candidates should possess project planning and organizational skills, including handling schedules, tracking progress, maintaining daily logs, and supporting site-level problem solving.
Candidates should possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal design teams in a clear and professional manner.
Candidates should possess familiarity with reading 2D drawings and layouts; exposure to tools such as AutoCAD or similar design software will be an added advantage.
Relevant experience in interior site supervision or fit-out projects, preferably in residential or commercial interiors; a diploma or degree in interior design, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field will be beneficial.
Candidates should possess the ability to work full time on-site in Chennai, maintain reliability in attendance, and adhere to safety and quality standards set by Space Codes Studio.
