About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Company Description Solomon Systems provides an EW-resilient, continuous passwordless identity platform designed for highly secure environments. The platform anchors cryptographic user sessions to physical room boundaries and geographic borders, supporting air-gapped ERP operations. It enables conflict-free mesh reconciliation tailored for government, Department of Defense, and intelligence use cases. Solomon Systems focuses on advanced security, reliability, and compliance in mission-critical infrastructure.
Role Description The Cloud Infrastructure Architect is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, highly available cloud and hybrid infrastructures that support Solomon Systems’ identity platform. This role involves defining end-to-end solution architectures, documenting reference designs, and ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and performance requirements. The architect collaborates with engineering, product, and security teams to translate business needs into scalable infrastructure solutions, including network topology, compute, storage, and access controls. Day-to-day activities include evaluating cloud services, automating infrastructure deployment, monitoring system health, troubleshooting complex issues, and continuously improving reliability and resilience in government-grade environments.

Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure skills, including cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, storage, and high-availability design.
Candidates should possess Solution Architecture and Architecture skills, covering end-to-end system design, reference architectures, and integration of security and compliance requirements.
Candidates should possess Networking skills, including TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, microsegmentation, and secure connectivity for hybrid and air-gapped environments.
Candidates should possess System Administration skills, including Linux/Unix and Windows server management, automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring and logging tools.
Experience with zero-trust security concepts, identity and access management, and cryptographic controls is highly beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prior experience designing infrastructure for government, defense, or intelligence organizations, or similarly regulated sectors, is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
