Role Description The Senior Merchant role at TDHIL INDIA is a full-time, on-site position based in Faridabad. The Senior Merchant will oversee end-to-end merchandising activities, including product development, and lifecycle management for cabin appearance products, on-board solutions, and corporate retail segments auch as packaging/ uniforms. Responsibilities include coordinating with design, production, and sourcing teams, monitoring processes, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines. The role involves tracking delivery performance, analyzing any challenges during the product execution and quick solution based approach to any challenges that surface. The Senior Merchant will also contribute to pricing strategies, margin optimization, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Strong merchandising, product development, and assortment planning skills, preferably in textiles, apparel(woven & knit), or cabin appearance products.
Experience in vendor management, sourcing, and negotiation with manufacturers and suppliers.
Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to drive merchandising decisions.
Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and supply chain operations within manufacturing environments.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant merchandising or ERP tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in a senior merchandising role within exports, retail, or textile manufacturing is highly beneficial.
