Role Description The Senior Designer will lead the design and development of kidswear collections, translating brand vision and market trends into commercially viable styles for girls’ and boys’ apparel. Responsibilities include creating seasonal concepts, sketching designs, selecting fabrics and trims, and overseeing sample development with the production team. The role involves collaborating closely with merchandising, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet quality, fit, and cost requirements, and are delivered on time. The Senior Designer will also mentor junior designers, maintain design standards, and contribute to new product categories as the brand evolves. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.
Qualifications
Strong skills in fashion design, kidswear design, and garment construction, with a portfolio showcasing girls’ and boys’ apparel.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar CAD software for creating technical sketches and design boards.
Experience in fabric selection, trim and accessory sourcing, and knowledge of materials suitable for children’s clothing.
Ability to conduct market and trend research, interpret consumer insights, and develop cohesive seasonal collections.
Experience working with sampling and production teams, including fit approvals, size specifications, and quality checks.
Strong sense of aesthetics, color, and detail, with an understanding of comfort, safety, and practicality in kidswear.
Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, including the ability to guide and review the work of junior designers.
Prior experience in kidswear or apparel manufacturing, preferably in girls’ and boys’ fashion, is highly desirable.
Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized institute.
Ability to work on-site in Noida and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
