Role Description The Business Intelligence Analyst at GARB-USP is a part-time remote role focused on transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, building and maintaining dashboards and reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements. The role involves designing and optimizing data models, supporting data warehousing and ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and consistency across reporting environments. The analyst will also document methodologies, monitor performance of BI solutions, and recommend improvements to reporting and analytics practices.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and experience in data analytics to interpret complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to support reliable data integration and storage.
Proficiency in data modeling to design efficient, scalable structures for reporting and business intelligence.
Experience with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and strong skills in SQL or similar query languages.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and version control tools is an advantage.
Comfort working remotely, with strong time management, communication, and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in a business intelligence, data analysis, or related role is preferred.
