Company Description Flavours of Calicut is a Kerala-based snack brand bringing the culinary heritage of Kozhikode to customers across India and globally. Founded in 2018 by four friends, the company focuses on transforming traditional, unorganised snack offerings into premium, branded products rooted in authenticity and quality. From banana chips fried in pure coconut oil to handcrafted halwas and pickles, each product is designed to evoke nostalgia while introducing Kerala’s flavours to new audiences. The brand has grown rapidly through online platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart and is expanding across D2C, QuickCommerce, and modern retail. Flavours of Calicut also drives social impact by partnering with women-led collectives, supporting local entrepreneurship and preserving traditional food-making practices.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Graphic Designer role based in Kozhikode. The Graphic Designer will create visual assets for packaging, digital campaigns, social media, and in-store materials that reflect the brand’s identity and Kerala’s culinary heritage. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, producing graphics and layouts, refining typography and logo usage, and collaborating with marketing and product teams to ensure cohesive branding across all channels. The role involves preparing print-ready files for packaging and promotional materials, adapting designs for various digital formats, and maintaining a consistent visual style. The Graphic Designer will also support the creation of branding collateral for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and gifting lines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with experience creating visual assets for both print and digital media.
Candidates should possess skills in Logo Design and Branding, including developing and maintaining cohesive brand identities.
Candidates should possess skills in Typography, with the ability to select and apply type that aligns with brand tone and enhances readability.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or equivalent) and familiarity with packaging design workflows.
Ability to translate brand stories and cultural themes into clear, engaging visuals, with attention to detail and layout consistency.
Relevant education in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-growing consumer brand environment.
Experience in FMCG, food, or D2C brands is an advantage, as well as a portfolio demonstrating branding and packaging work.
