About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Company Description Norsetech Group specializes in building high-quality marine Planned Maintenance System (PMS) databases that allow ship operators to rely on their data rather than work around it. The company focuses on creating accurate job libraries, SFI coding structures, component hierarchies, and spares linkages, all sourced directly from makers’ manuals. Norsetech Group supports PMS build, migration, and configuration across platforms such as AMOS, DNV ShipManager, DANAOS, ABS Nautical Systems, Cloud Fleet Manager, and ShipNet. Services also include onboard inventory audits, spares cataloguing with QR and barcode tracking, digitization of manuals and records, vessel IT and cybersecurity, and managed back-office support to reduce administrative burdens for superintendents.
Role Description The PMS Engineer – Marine PMS & Database Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Mumbai, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves building, reviewing, and configuring PMS databases across multiple marine software platforms, ensuring accurate job libraries, component hierarchies, and spares linkages. The specialist will interpret makers’ technical manuals and vessel documentation, support PMS database migration projects, and coordinate with client teams to validate data integrity and system usability. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with marine technical stakeholders, performing data quality checks, supporting onboard inventory and spares cataloguing initiatives, and preparing clear documentation and reports for internal and client use. The role may also support digitization efforts and contribute to continuous improvement of database standards and processes.
