Role Description The Tissue Culture Lab Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Vegakkollai, Cuddalore. The technician will prepare culture media, handle plant explants, and carry out aseptic transfers in the tissue culture laboratory. Daily tasks include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, monitoring cultures for contamination or abnormal growth, and recording observations in lab notebooks or digital systems. The role involves supporting quality control checks, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards, and assisting with scaling up tissue-cultured plants for nursery production. The technician will collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets and improve laboratory processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience -3 years
Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and experience working as laboratory technicians in a biological or plant tissue culture setting.
Candidates should possess ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment commonly used in tissue culture labs.
Candidates should possess quality control skills, including monitoring cultures, identifying contamination, and following standardized protocols.
Candidates should possess analytical skills to observe plant responses, interpret data, and support process improvements.
Attention to detail, ability to follow standardized operating procedures, and willingness to learn new methods.
Capability to work on-site in Vegakkollai, Cuddalore, including standing for extended periods and handling repetitive lab tasks.
