About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Finance leader who can take complete ownership of Kreedo’s finance function. This is a lean, execution-oriented head of finance role for someone who is comfortable being close to the numbers, building financial discipline and ensuring that the finance engine runs smoothly.
The person will work closely with the leadership team and take ownership of financial controls, planning, reporting, compliance and collections.
Key Responsibilities
● Financial Controllership: Own the overall finance function, accounting processes, controls and financial discipline.
● Budgets & Expenses: Drive annual budgeting, expense tracking, cost controls and periodic budget vs. actual reviews.
● Financial Reporting: Own regular MIS and management reporting, providing clear visibility into business performance and key financial metrics.
● Recovery & Collections: Oversee receivables, collections and recovery processes, ensuring timely follow-up and improved cash flows.
● Audit: Manage statutory and internal audits, ensuring timely closure and resolution of audit observations.
● Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate compliance across GST, TDS, tax, filings and other applicable statutory requirements.
● Board Reporting: Prepare and present financial updates, key metrics, cash position, budgets and business insights for Board/leadership reviews.
● Process & Controls: Strengthen finance processes, controls and systems as the organisation scales.
Desired Candidate Profile:
● CA qualification with strong hands-on experience across finance and accounting.
● Typically 8-12 years of relevant experience, preferably in a growing/entrepreneurial organisation.
● Someone who is comfortable being both strategic and hands-on. This is not a role where finance is managed from a distance.
● Strong understanding of accounting, financial controls, compliance, budgeting and cash flows.
● Ability to work closely with founders / senior leadership and bring rigour and discipline to financial decision-making.
● Strong ownership, attention to detail and the ability to operate independently in a lean environment.
