DevSecOps Engineer

Job Purpose:
The role involves supporting DevSecOps functions within the Digital Banking unit, focusing on implementing and maintaining secure, efficient development and operational processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for testing, selection, and implementation of technologies, tools, and working methods.
Work closely with developers to assess existing problems and propose process improvement solutions.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and information security teams for periodic assessments and troubleshooting of security infrastructure.
Proactively detect upcoming bottlenecks and production issues, consulting teams on improved technical solutions.
Execute on plans by building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization.
Perform daily tasks such as environmental health checks, disk space monitoring, and environmental status reports.
Maintain and grow existing knowledge of platform configuration management and troubleshooting.
Actively participate in deploying application artifacts to appropriate target environments using supported technologies and infrastructure.
Educational Qualifications:
Relevant business / computer science degree or equivalent experience.
Key Skills:
Strong coding and scripting skills.
Experience with implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS).
Working knowledge of the Agile methodology of software development.
Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and cluster management tools like Kubernetes, Docker.
Experience with configuration management and monitoring.
Experience with continuous integration and related tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar.
Experienced with building, debugging, operating systems, databases, and infrastructure at scale.
Experience Required:
2+ years in DevOps / DevSecOps roles.
