Role Description This is a part-time remote role designed for an individual who supports the growth and engagement of Agrarian Opportunities’ online community. Day-to-day tasks may include researching and sharing relevant agricultural opportunities, engaging with users on the platform and social channels, and helping to curate content that highlights success stories, funding calls, and training programs. The role may also involve assisting with basic outreach to partners, responding to community inquiries, and gathering feedback to improve platform features and user experience. The successful candidate will collaborate virtually with the core team, working flexible hours while meeting agreed-upon deadlines and deliverables.
Qualifications
Strong interest or background in agriculture, agribusiness, rural development, or related fields.
Ability to research and identify credible agricultural opportunities, programs, and resources across different regions.
Basic skills in online communication and community engagement (e.g., social media interaction, responding to messages, facilitating discussions).
Comfort with using digital tools and platforms for remote work, including collaboration and project management applications.
Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; additional African or international languages are a plus.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet part-time role expectations in a remote environment.
Demonstrated interest in social impact, inclusive development, and supporting diverse communities.
Relevant education or experience in agriculture, communications, social sciences, or a related area is an advantage but not strictly required.
