You are a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application testing.
You have extensive experience in mobile test automation, functional testing and end-to-end testing across iOS and Android platforms.
You have strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with developers, Business Analysts, Product teams and other stakeholders.
You are passionate about learning new technologies, including AI, to improve testing strategies and stay ahead of industry trends.
What You Will Do
Plan, create and manage the overall mobile application quality assurance strategy.
Actively participate throughout the software development lifecycle and collaborate with Engineering, Product and Business Analysis teams.
Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test reports for mobile applications.
Design, develop and maintain scalable mobile test automation frameworks and scripts.
Perform functional, regression, integration, usability and end-to-end testing on iOS and Android applications.
Validate mobile application functionality across different devices, operating systems, screen sizes and network conditions.
Perform testing on real devices, emulators and simulators to ensure consistent application performance.
Perform API testing where required to support end-to-end mobile application validation.
Integrate automated mobile tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Identify, report and track defects while working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Test mobile-specific features, including push notifications, app permissions, connectivity, device compatibility and application lifecycle behaviour.
Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve mobile application performance, stability and usability issues.
Use AI-assisted QA practices to improve test coverage, efficiency and delivery timelines.
What You Need to Have
Knowledge and Skills
4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Test Automation Engineer, with strong hands-on experience in mobile application testing.
Strong experience testing native or cross-platform mobile applications on iOS and Android.
Hands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Maestro, Detox or similar frameworks.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java or another relevant programming language used for test automation.
Experience designing, developing and maintaining mobile test automation frameworks.
Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, usability and end-to-end testing of mobile applications.
Experience testing mobile applications using real devices, emulators and simulators.
Good understanding of iOS and Android operating systems, mobile application architecture and platform-specific behaviours.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
Experience with mobile debugging and troubleshooting tools, including Android Studio, Xcode or similar tools.
Good understanding of mobile application release processes, testing strategies and the software development lifecycle.
Experience with device compatibility testing, network connectivity testing and mobile application performance testing.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
A strong sense of ownership and pride in delivering high-impact work.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
Understanding of Git workflows, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience testing React Native or Flutter applications.
Experience with mobile testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab or similar services.
Experience with mobile performance, security and accessibility testing.
Familiarity with mobile application distribution and release processes, including TestFlight and Google Play Console.
Experience using AI tools to improve test automation, documentation and QA workflows.
Experience with frontend automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
Experience working in a start-up, the online gaming industry or a highly regulated environment.
