BESS investment Manager

Project Finance & Investment Manager – EMEA
I’m currently supporting a fast-growing renewable energy business in the search for a Project Finance & Investment Manager covering the EMEA region.
The role will focus on large-scale solar and energy storage projects, working closely with Business Development, EPC and O&M teams across the full project lifecycle — from investment screening and financial modelling to financing, execution and asset transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Evaluating solar and BESS investment opportunities
• Structuring debt and equity financing
• Leading financial due diligence and risk analysis
• Preparing investment memos and financing documentation
• Working directly with commercial lenders, development banks and financial partners
• Supporting internal investment and credit approval processes
• Developing new financing solutions across European markets
Ideal background:
• 5+ years of experience in Project Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity or Corporate Finance
• Strong experience with financial modelling and financing structures
• Renewable energy / solar / BESS experience is highly preferred
• Experience working with European lenders or development banks is a strong plus
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to work across investment, development and EPC teams
• Based in Europe, with Düsseldorf as the HQ and a remote working setup
