About The Role
As a (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) at HyPlus Solutions GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced IT infrastructures that support our digital solutions. Your responsibilities will include automating deployment pipelines, managing cloud-based environments, and ensuring the stability and security of complex system landscapes. You will work in a collaborative, innovative team environment that leverages cutting-edge AI tools and cloud technologies to optimize development and operational workflows.
This role offers the flexibility of a home office or hybrid work setup, with locations in Ratingen and Frankfurt am Main. You will have the opportunity to influence the entire lifecycle of IT projects, from initial conception through to production support, while actively contributing to the automation and standardization of our infrastructure. Your expertise will help facilitate the reliable deployment of enterprise-grade systems, including containerized applications, microservices, and AI-assisted engineering platforms, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, Configuration Management, or Platform Engineering.
Strong proficiency with DevOps platforms, especially GitLab, and experience in application operation and automated deployments.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift 4, including enterprise cluster administration.
Familiarity with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, and experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure.
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and scripting languages such as Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Go, or Python.
Practical knowledge of container technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic, Splunk, or Opsgenie.
Security-focused experience, including knowledge of BSI standards, IT infrastructure security, Zero Trust architecture, secret management, and identity & access management (LDAP, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2).
Strong analytical skills for structured troubleshooting, incident management, and crisis communication.
Fluent in German and English at C1/C2 level.
Residence in Germany.
Optional experience with storage solutions like Ceph, OpenShift Data Foundation, and network/DNS management.
Linux system administration experience and familiarity with AI-driven development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code) and LLM infrastructure operations (API gateways, model routing, GPU workloads) is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Designing and executing comprehensive IT projects, from initial concept to deployment and stable operation in production environments.
Ensuring the reliability and continuous improvement of Linux-based environments, microservices, and web applications through administration and development.
Configuring and maintaining DevOps pipelines with a focus on continuous integration and delivery to streamline development workflows.
Integrating AI-assisted engineering tools, such as Claude Code, into development and operational processes to enhance efficiency.
Planning and managing LLMOps platforms to enable the secure and reliable deployment of large language models within the enterprise.
Implementing and operating Docker environments to support scalable, standardized application landscapes.
Promoting automation and standardization initiatives, ensuring operational stability and process efficiency across teams.
Providing 3rd-level support for complex system landscapes, including root cause analysis and long-term issue resolution.
Utilizing collaboration tools effectively to foster knowledge sharing, transparency, and team alignment on project goals.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to IT security, operational standards, and data protection.
