Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and engaging volunteers who contribute to Proper Marketers’ community-focused initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting and onboarding new volunteers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that volunteers have clear guidance on their roles and responsibilities. The Coordinator will develop and deliver training materials, track volunteer participation, and provide ongoing support to foster a positive and inclusive volunteer experience. This role will also collaborate with internal team members to align volunteer activities with organizational goals and digital marketing campaigns. In addition, the Coordinator will help plan and promote community outreach efforts that support small business education and engagement.
Qualifications
Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training skills to effectively recruit, onboard, and support volunteers.
Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust, provide clear guidance, and maintain positive relationships.
Experience with Community Outreach to plan, promote, and execute initiatives that engage small businesses and local communities.
Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple volunteer activities and maintain accurate records.
Comfort working in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and proficiency in common collaboration tools.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, equity, and respectful engagement with people from diverse backgrounds.
Prior experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit work, or community programs is beneficial.
Familiarity with digital marketing or small business support initiatives is a plus.
