Software Test Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Test Engineer. The Software Test Engineer will design, develop, and execute test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Responsibilities include planning and performing manual and automated tests, documenting test results, logging and tracking defects, and collaborating with software developers to resolve issues. The role also involves reviewing requirements and specifications, contributing to test strategies and test plans, and helping improve overall testing processes and tools. The Software Test Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and continuous improvement of testing practices.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Software Testing, Testing, and Test Execution to validate software quality across different environments.
Experience designing and maintaining Test Cases, including test scenarios, test data, and regression test suites.
Familiarity with Software Development practices to collaborate effectively with development teams and understand code changes.
Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks, and experience with bug tracking and test management systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
Understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and best practices for functional, integration, and regression testing.
Experience in performance, security, or API testing is a plus, as well as exposure to agile or iterative development environments.
