About Plexe
Plexe is a Y Combinator-backed applied AI lab. We build AI agents and machine-learning models for enterprises, banks and fast-growing platforms, on top of the data they already have. Our engineers embed with the client's team and build on our own agent platform.
About the Role
You will own the top and middle of our sales pipeline: finding the right buyers, meeting them at industry events, running outreach and follow-ups, and keeping the CRM accurate so the founders can step in at the right moment to close. You will work directly with the GTM lead and the founders. This is a hands-on role in a small team, with a direct line from your work to signed projects.
What you will do
Conferences and events
Research and shortlist conferences where our buyers will be (travel companies, banks, fintechs, enterprise technology leaders), with a clear case, cost and expected outcome for each.
Book meetings through event apps and outreach before we arrive, work the floor during the event, and capture every conversation the same day.
Within a week of each event, turn business cards and WhatsApp threads into a clean list of contacted, replied and meeting booked.
Pipeline management
Maintain the CRM (Attio) as the single source of truth: every lead has an owner, stage, temperature and next action.
Run a weekly pipeline review and keep the founders informed of what is moving and what is stuck.
Outbound and follow-up
Write and send personalised outreach by email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp.
Follow up on schedule until a lead replies, books a meeting or is closed out.
Manage sequences in our outbound tooling, triage replies and hand warm conversations to the right person.
Meeting booking and handoff
Qualify inbound and event leads and book discovery calls.
Brief the founders before each call and keep deals moving between meetings with follow-up notes, decks, case studies and proposals.
Reporting
Track meetings booked, reply rates and pipeline movement per event and per campaign, so we know which conferences and messages actually work.
What we are looking for
2 to 3 years in B2B sales, business development or SDR/BDR roles, ideally selling software or services to enterprises.
Comfortable at events: approaching senior people at a stand, running a tight 15-minute meeting, following up the same evening.
Excellent written English. Most of this job is short, specific, well-timed messages.
Organised and consistent. Follow-ups go out the day they are due, and the CRM reflects reality.
Hands-on with a CRM (Attio, HubSpot, Salesforce or similar) and email outreach tools.
Willing to travel to conferences in India, the Gulf and Southeast Asia.
Nice to have
Experience selling to travel, hospitality, banking or fintech companies.
An existing network among OTAs, airlines, banks or payments companies.
Familiarity with AI or data-heavy enterprise software.
Experience planning event participation and budgets.
